How will AI disrupt Minnesota? Find out at MinnPost Festival

On Sept. 22-23, MinnPost Festival will bring can’t-miss conversations with national and local guests exploring a range of issues surrounding civic life in this moment.

Today, we’re spotlighting one of our featured sessions, AI in Minnesota. In less than a year, AI has quickly emerged as the most disruptive technology we’ve seen in more than a decade. With experience from the public and private sectors, our panel of experts and entrepreneurs will dig into how AI will reshape life for Minnesotans in the years ahead.

This panel will feature Sharon Kennedy Vickers, Dan Mallin and Michelle Tran Maryns and will be moderated by Nancy Lyons.

Sharon Kennedy Vickers is an award-winning technology professional with 25 years of experience envisioning and leading equitable implementation of transformative digital solutions. Kennedy Vickers is the CEO of Software for Good, an agency that builds technology that enables companies, nonprofits, and government agencies to solve some of the world’s toughest problems by understanding the human needs of the people and communities it will touch.

Dan Mallin is a force in technology-based entrepreneurship, creating transformative tools that serve the needs of Fortune 1000. Today, Mallin serves as founder and CEO of Lucy, the world’s leading AI-powered answer engine. Lucy was created in 2016 to solve one of the most urgent and overlooked problems that exists in every organization: the daily scavenger hunt for information.

Michelle Trans MarynsMichelle Tran Maryns is founder and CEO of We Sparkle Co., a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) social enterprise building a stronger and more inclusive economy by equipping underestimated entrepreneurs with the AI-powered tools they need to succeed now and into the future.

Nancy Lyons, CEO and co-founder of Clockwork, understands that humans are the hardest part of work. She’s been building teams and leading clients through culture change (and evolution) for more than 20 years by challenging people to harness the human side of business. She is the author of the Amazon bestseller “Work Like a Boss: A kick-in-the-pants Guide to Finding (and Using) your Power at Work.”

This panel is on Saturday, Sept. 23, at 10:50 a.m. and is a breakout session only open to VIPs, sponsors and paid passholders. All Saturday sessions will be held at The 1893 at the Historic Grain Belt Office.
